Privacy
The short version: the games don't collect anything about you. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no server of ours for anything to be sent to.
Who this covers
This policy covers the iPhone and iPad games published by LivingRoom Play: LivingRoom Skip Solitaire, LivingRoom Stakes and LivingRoom Euchre, and any game we publish later. It also covers this website, which has no analytics, no cookies and no third-party scripts of any kind.
What stays on your device
Your settings, your saved games and the list of players you've blocked are stored on your device by the app. Nobody else can read them, and deleting the app deletes them.
What goes to iCloud
Saved games sync through your own iCloud account, so a game started on your iPhone can be finished on your iPad. They sit in your private iCloud storage, under your Apple Account, and we cannot read them. Apple's privacy policy covers iCloud itself. Turning iCloud off for the game keeps everything on the one device.
Playing online
Online play uses Apple's Game Center. The other players at your table see the nickname and picture Game Center gives you — the same ones you chose for Game Center — and nothing else. Moves and chat messages travel between the players' devices through Game Center. We don't see them, store them, or keep any record that a game happened.
Chat is filtered on the device for offensive language before it appears, and you can block another player from the chat at any time. Blocking is remembered on your device only.
The one thing that is written down
When you delete an unfinished online game, or when an online game finishes, the app writes a small record to a shared database in the game's own iCloud container, so the other players' devices can close their copy of the game instead of waiting for you forever.
That record is named by a one-way hash (SHA-256) of the game's identifier and the player identifier, and it holds nothing else: no name, no nickname, no message, no device information, nothing that can be read back to a person. It exists so a game that's over can stop asking, and it's looked up only by devices that were already in that game.
The camera
The join screen can scan a QR code to enter a room code. That happens entirely on your device, the picture is never stored or sent anywhere, and the camera is only ever on while that scanner is open. You can always type the six digits instead.
What we never do
- No analytics or usage tracking, in the apps or on this site.
- No advertising, no advertising identifiers, no third-party SDKs.
- No selling or sharing of anything, because there is nothing to sell or share.
- No email list. Writing to us for help doesn't sign you up for anything.
Children
The games aren't directed at children under 13 and collect no personal information from anyone, children included. Online play and chat go through Game Center, so the communication limits set in Screen Time apply: with them on, chat falls back to a short list of quick replies.
Deleting your data
Swipe a saved game aside in Saved Games to delete it. Deleting the app removes everything it kept on that device; to remove the synced copies as well, delete the games in the app first, or manage the app's iCloud storage in Settings on your device. Since we hold nothing that identifies you, there's nothing for us to delete on your behalf — but if you'd like to ask, write to [email protected] and we'll answer.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new date at the top. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes too.
