Help for each game

Each game's page also has its rules, written out in full, under How to play.

The questions that come up most

How do I play with someone who isn't in the room?

Tap Play Online. Your table gets a six-digit room code: read it out over the phone, send the QR code, or use Invite Friends to send a Game Center invitation. The other player taps Join with Code, types the six digits, and they're at your table.

Can we talk while we play?

Yes — the games use FaceTime for that. Start the call first, then open the game and choose Play on FaceTime. Everyone hears each other over FaceTime while the game runs on its own.

Do I need an account?

No. There's nothing to sign up for. Playing online uses Game Center, which is part of your Apple Account and already on your device — you only need to be signed in. Practice games need nothing at all.

What happens when someone loses signal?

The table waits. Nothing is played for them and nothing is lost; when they come back, the game carries on where it stopped. If everyone else has gone, you can tap Play On and let the computer take the empty seats, or leave the game and pick it up later from Saved Games.

Where are my saved games, and how do I delete one?

They're under Saved Games on the home screen. Games save themselves as you play, and follow you to your other devices through your own iCloud. Swipe a game aside and tap Delete to remove it. Deleting an unfinished online game tells the other players, so nobody is left waiting for you.

Someone was abusive. What can I do?

In the chat, tap and hold their message and choose Block. You won't see them again, and nothing they send reaches you. Please also write to [email protected] with the game and roughly when it happened: reports about behaviour are answered within 24 hours, and anything that breaks the rules is acted on. Chat is also filtered for offensive language before it ever appears, and quick replies are the only chat available to accounts with communication limits set in Screen Time.

Are the games playable with VoiceOver?

Yes. Every card, pile and control is labelled, the table announces whose turn it is and what was played, and the games follow Dynamic Type, Reduce Motion and Increase Contrast. If something reads badly or can't be reached, tell us — that's a bug like any other, and we'd like to fix it.

Something crashed, or a game got stuck

Write to us with the game, what you were doing, and roughly when. Settings names the version you're on at the foot of the screen, under Help. On a TestFlight build, Settings › Send Feedback writes the message for you with the build and the device already in it, and a screenshot sent from TestFlight brings its logs along too.

[email protected] — one address for all of it: bugs, ideas, rules arguments, and anything about another player.

Saying which game and which version helps. Nothing you send is used for anything but answering you.
