How to play
Six dice, a deck of cards, and one question every throw: stop, or push your luck? The same rules are in the app, under Rules on the home screen.
-
The goal
Be the first to bank the score the table was set to, or, at a timed table, have the most when time runs out. Everyone throws one die to start, and the highest goes first.
-
Your turn
A card is turned, then you throw all six dice. Set aside at least one die that scores, then throw the rest again or, if the card lets you, bank what the turn has made.
-
Bust
A throw with nothing in it that scores is a bust. The turn ends, and every point it made since you last banked is gone.
-
Fill
Set all six dice aside and you've filled them. The card pays out, a new one is turned, and you throw all six again. Points you've built up ride along until you bank or bust.
-
What scores
A single 1 scores 100 and a single 5 scores 50. Three 1s in one throw score 1,000, and three of any other number 100 times the number. 1 2 3 4 5 6 in one throw scores 1,500.
1 100 5 50 1 1 1 1,000 4 4 4 400 1 2 3 4 5 6 1,500 -
The cards
Bonus 300, 400 or 500 pays when you fill, and is the only card you may bank under. No Dice ends your turn at once. Fill for 1,000 pays 1,000 for a fill and loses the turn if you bust. Roll to Bust keeps you throwing until you bust, and every point counts. Payback 2,500 can be played or passed; played, fill and the leader loses 2,500. Double Up doubles and banks the turn's points after two fills in a row.
-
Timed tables
When the time is up the game ends mid turn, as if that turn had just busted: whatever a bust would lose is lost, and whatever it would keep is kept.
Playing here
Shake your phone to rattle the dice in the cup, then turn it face down to pour them out, or tap the cup. Tap the dice you want to set aside, then shake or tap the cup to throw the rest, or tap Bank. The dice you set aside wait in the tray, grouped by the throw they came from.
